Introducing Chiropractor, Jason Silliker D.C.

"I was only eighteen years old, but felt like I was eighty" remembers Dr. Silliker. "Here I am, just out of high school ‘slamming salmon’ sixteen hours a day on an Alaskan fish processor taking foolish and unnecessary risks to my spine. I ruined my back and was angry for being so careless." Dr. Silliker returned to his family in Whitefish, Montana in order to get medical attention finding some temporary relief with physical therapy and take-home exercises but, often struggling with severe flare-ups. His five year employment as a railroad conductor proved that sitting 12 hours a day on trains was simply not possible. A co-worker suggested he try chiropractic. Dr. Silliker remembers, "I was skeptical at first! The chiropractor "adjusted" my spine for a period of weeks and encouraged me to resume my pre-injury activities". Within a few months of physical, mental, and nutritional "adjustments" made by his doctor, he was able to live and feel like he used to. This experience proved transformational to the point Dr. Silliker dedicated himself to helping other people discover what could be achieved with good chiropractic care.
For the next seven years, Dr. Silliker worked diligently to earn his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis focusing on human biology, neurology, orthopedics, radiology and clinical case management. During these years he learned how the framework of the body can interfere with the integrity of the nervous system, which "runs" the body. Dr. Silliker now has several years of clinical practice experience helping hundreds of patients discover how to live a better life.
When not practicing, Dr. Silliker enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, fishing, biking, and relaxing. Learning from his own experience his passion is to help his patients understand how to live without fear of pain and learn to trust the innate healing ability of the body using natural chiropractic principles.
"Over the years I have learned that life is about choices. The closer we choose to live congruently with nature, the better life can be. Life choices regarding how we think, move, and eat can drastically change our health. And, health is supreme."
When health is absent
Wisdom cannot reveal itself,
Art cannot be manifest,
Strength cannot be exerted,
Wealth is useless,
Reason is powerless.
